From Tivat, it takes approximately 20 minutes to drive to the famous city of Kotor, a Unesco World Heritage site. Located on the southeastern part of the bay, especially the old town is well worth a visit. All houses are made of white stones and above the town is the ancient city wall and an old castle which you can visit. Buy a 3€ per person ticket and walk the wall up the hill. You will have fabulous views over the bay and many great photo opportunities. Kotor is also on the route of many cruise ships that travel around the Adriatic coast and during the warmer time of year, you will usually see a big white cruise ship or two in the bay.
After visiting Kotor, we drove on to the next town called Perast. A traditional Montenegrin village located directly by the sea. Walk along the picturesque street by the water and pick one of the restaurants for a peaceful lunch spot and one of the most beautiful views in the world in my opinion.
