Things to do in Andros

If the weather is nice, there are some really nice beaches to check out. We rented a car and we also saw some people with quads and scooters driving around the island. Especially the north side of the islands has some really pretty beaches and many have restaurants too. I am unsure what high season is like, but in September there were some tourists but not too many and it felt very nice and easy to travel around. There are a number of hiking paths around the island that one can explore. They are numbered and either take you along the coast (only go if there is next to no wind) or inland. That was a nice way to spend a day., be active and discover your surroundings. And there are also some smaller towns to be visited. We drove to the town of Andros which is pretty, with nice views, restaurants, and some shops. Mpatsi is also nice with a cute little Harbour and restaurants that look out on the water. Andros is a good off the beaten track option for Greece and worth a visit in summer. If you are island hopping in Greece, do plan to stay in Andros for a few days, you will like it!
