On a few occasions, we got off of our sunbeds and used the complimentary hotel shuttle to go to the main village on the island. It is very busy with people all day and night long and one can explore the roads and streets endlessly. Along the waterfront are numerous restaurants with tasty foods and great for people watching. Throughout the small streets are art galleries, souvenir shops, clothes and jewelry shopping options, and some sights too. From Little Venice, to the typical Myconian windmills, and on to the beautiful Greek houses with their stunning pink flowers. It is definitely worth spending a few hours, day and night in Mykonos town. My personal highlight in Mykonos town was the 180 Degree Sunset Bar. We stumbled upon it by chance, saw a sign and walked up a steep hill to discover this bar. Set above the harbor lies this stunning bar which opens just before the sun goes down. It is beautifully decorated, has great music, offers pricey but good drinks and has the absolutely perfect view of sunset. over Mykonos You just have to go there to experience it!
