The advantage of living in Vienna...
is that you are definitely closer to the Mediterranean coast. In just under 5 hours you are in Italy, Slovenia and/ or Croatia. And that´s precisely what we did during a recent long weekend. We booked a cute apartment in the heart of the town of Koper, on the Slovenian coast. From there we easily explored Koper, Portoroz and Piran on the Slovenian coast. We took a day trip to Croatia, visited an ancient town, and a cute vineyard, found a fab beach restaurant and took a swim in the sea. And before we headed back to Vienna, we stopped over in lovely Triest for some sightseeing, dress shopping and lunch!!
