Kuriftu Resort & Spa Hotel

The last three days of our brief visit to this beautiful country we spent at Kuriftu Resort and Spa. Easily one of the best hotels in Ethiopia, run by Ethiopians and located southeast of Addis Ababa, at the breathtaking crater lake (Lake Kuriftu) within a classic paradise setting. The resort has 105 suites, a swimming pool with sunbathing terrace, a spa, and a great restaurant that looks out onto a lake. The service was excellent, the rooms are beautifully decorated in Ethiopian style and we had our own terrace and fireplace where we sat until late at night. The restaurant is open from all sides and resorts guests eat here but people also come out here for the day from Addis Ababa for example as it is only about an hour's drive. The spa has great massages, there is a games room where you can play a round of table tennis and you can walk to some of the other resorts in the area for a coffee if you like. The perfect place to unwind, sit back, and relax. Loved it!
